Why didn't Vince McMahon give the other deceased wrestlers memorable like he did Eddie Guerrero?
I thought it was great that there was such a big tribute to the life of Eddie Guerrero, but when I remembered how oither wrestlers such as John Tenta(Earthquake), Crash Holly, and Michael Heidstrand(Road Warrior Hawk) were NOT given that same level of appreciation, it disgusted me.
What the hell made them not good enough to have their life and career celebrated like Eddie Guerrero’s was?
Was it because Eddie had a big family, and that they were all telling Vince to show that huge tribute, where Eddie had a ALOT of people backing him up, hius entire family but where the others’ families were not big enough? Hell, they even sold Eddie Guerrero R.I.P. t-shirts but never gave that sort of attention to the other deceased wrestlers.
I did not see the thing for Umaga so I don’t know what happened there, but I’m willing to bet that if there was a tribute, that it was no where near as big as Eddie’s.
Was it because Eddie became a main eventer and accomplished more in recent times that those others? Wasn’t Road Warrior Hawk a main eventer and tag team champion? Wasn’t Earthquake giving Hogan a run for his money and dominated the tag team division with Dino Bravo in the late 80s?
Just because Eddie Guerrero might have accomplished more and had a bigger family who DEMANDED that Vince give him a huge tribute, doesn’t mean that those other wrestlers were less of a human being that Eddie was. They should have all gotten a decent tribute, not just some quick several second R.I.P screen where they show a picture and the their bithday to deathdate.

Because sadly, neither one of those guys were even employed by WWE at the time of their death. The only other guys who got the Eddie treatment were Owen (well deserved) and Benoit (controversial, depending on who you ask)
Brian Pillman never got one either, and he WAS employed by WWE at the time of his passing.
Crash Holly was working in NWATNA (now TNA) at the time of his death
Hawk was retired (they mentioned his death on the now defunct WWE Confidential show, but that’s all the tribute he got)

I completely agree.
In-fact some stars who died didn’t even get a tribute, let alone a tribute video.
It’s probably all down to the fact that Vince McMahon and the WWE in general didn’t want to be associated with wrestlers who had died at either such a young age or had complications with their heart, from drugs etc. No matter how they died or what age they died, they deserve to have at least a mention. The guys worked for the business, they put their bodies on the line day and night, they earned their places, it disgusts me how they get nothing for it.
The same thing has happened to Umaga, and their was a huge uproar a while ago about Umaga not having a tribute video shown on Raw, or having a mention from Jerry Lawler or Michael Cole saying he had died. I think fans are still very angry at this.
But to answer your question: I completely agree, and in my opinion, every wrestler that has died who were so loved by the fans, the wrestlers who worked day and night getting the fans on their feet screaming like crazy, wrestlers who made the WWE what it is today, should get the same treatment as Eddie Guerrero had. But obviously Vince McMahon doesn’t see it that way, and it disgust me.

I’m not sure… all those reasons you stated could be valid suggestions as to why…
The thing that irritates me the most about it (and no disrespect to Eddie Guerrero by the way) is that Owen Hart should have been in the hall of fame years ago… and he’s not… I think that sucks (yeah I know Martha sued WWE and won and she won’t allow WWE to acknowledge Owen in the way he should have been acknowledged long ago) and every year around this time i start hoping just a tiny bit that my one dream as a wrestling fan for the majority of my life will come true and Owen Hart will finally go into the Hall of Fame… I don’t know… maybe now that Bret is back with WWE he will try to wangle it possibly for next year but Martha is so stubborn that’s the problem. why can’t she just accept that Owen deserved to be remembered and acknowledged by his fans and employer and move on? one of these days she’s gonna end up having a stroke because of all the emotional baggage she’s been dragging around for years… she needs to just let bygones be bygones and let Owen rest in peace… I know that’s a little off topic but Owen was just as good as Eddie was in the ring (there’s a match we’ll never see it would have been an awesome match) and my opinion of Martha may be controversial but face facts she’s denying her children the right to remember their father for who he was… and I don’t just mean at home
