Why are “tidal wave’ and “seismic wave” incorrect terms for describing a tsunami?

A tidal wave is generated by tides. A seismic wave is a wave travelling in the soil and rock from an earthquake. A tsunami is a displacement of water from an earthquake or volcano, usually underwater.

it has nothing to do with the tide and it could be caused by a land slide or storm but not a seismic event.
