Earthquake Questions
I just moved to Southern CA and started to think more about the big earthquake. Does anyone know when it is predicted and know how bad Palm Springs is supposed to be hit? Thanks!

Scientists really can’t pinpoint an exact date. Some say 50 years, some say 100, others thousands. I’ve lived in California my whole life, and have experienced several large quakes–7.4 was the biggest one back in 1992. Luckily it was in the middle of nowhere and there was no real damage. So far, none of them have been centered in or near Palm Springs, although you do get an occasional one near Joshua Tree or El Centro. Honestly, you are probably worrying about nothing. Even if there is a "big one", not all of CA will feel it. It’s a huge state.

Just assume any time. EQ 3.1 just hit Diamond Bar.
Palm Spring is located above major San Andreas fault, EQ zone of SCA. Perhaps you have only few seconds to escape, so plan exit routes from indoor and practice until feeling comfortable.
Dont be scared, be prepared.
