Tornado Watch
A Tornado Watch is issued to alert people to the possibility of a tornado developing in your area. At this point, a tornado has not been seen but the conditions are very favorable for tornados to occur at any moment.
Tornado Warning
A Tornado Warning is issued when a tornado has actually been sighted or has been picked up on radar in your area. This means that you need to take shelter immediately in a safe sturdy structure.

tornado watch is spelled with w-a-t-c-h
tornado warning is spelled with w-a-r-n-i-n-g
No seriously watch means conditions are favorable and warning means hide in the closet

A watch simply means the atmospheric conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form. A warning is more serious. It is issued when a tornado has actually been spotted, or radar indicates that conditions in a thunderstorm are suggestive that a tornado may either exist or form.

A watch just means that conditions are right for a tornado to form- its more of a "maybe" than a "probably." A warning means that a funnel cloud has been sighted and that a tornado is very likely.

for a tornado to occur, there have to be very specific and perfect air conditions. scientists monitor the air and when they find an area that has the right conditions for a tornado to occur, they issue a tornado watch. if they find a tornado or the beginnings of a tornado, they issue a tornado warning. tornado warnings are only sent out after the tornado is found.

A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes. A tornado warning means that there are indications of a tornado on radar, or one has been sighted on the ground. During a watch, it means you should monitor conditions, and keep an ear to a local media outlet (local TV, radio, or NOAA weather radio). During a warning for your area, it means that you should seek appropriate shelter.

tornado watch means the weather is right for possible tornados.
tornado warning means there is a tornado on the ground, maybe funnel clouds are in the area. it also means to seek shelter right away.

tornado watch is when they think there’s a tornado and looks for signs of a tornado.
tornado warnings are when they say "it looks like there’s going to be a tornado"

A watch for any type of weather event means that conditions are favorable to create that weather event. A warning for any type of weather event means that the weather event has been seen by radar or actually seen by a person.
Tornado watch – Conditions are favorable for tornado formation. Watch the T.V. or listen to the radio for when to seek shelter or when the watch has passed.
Tornado warning – A tornado has been seen by radar or has been seen on the ground. Seek shelter in a basement. If a basement is not available, hide in the bathtub in the bathroom. Pull a mattress over you in the basement or in the bathtub to protect from flying debris. If you are caught outside, lie flat in a ditch and cover your head and neck with your hands and arms. Never try to outrun a tornado in your car.
