What happens when a tornado goes through and a person gets sucked in?

Tornado
Like, once you get sucked in do you spin around for a bit still alive and then get thrown to the ground by the tornado’s force and then that’s how you die? I’m just wondering, what do you guys think?

Sometimes the debris can kill you in a tornado, actually, that is mostly the case. The debris in a tornado move at very rapid speeds. If the tornado is in an area with a large supply of debris, that will most likely kill a person. If it is just the tornado itself in an open field, the person could be lifted into the tornado and possibly not be injured. But the possibility of this is small. Tornado winds throw objects up, then slam them back to the ground, very hard. How strong the tornado winds are is another factor. There is the possibility that the tornado winds don’t throw you down very hard (meaning little to no injury), or the winds throw you to the ground very hard (leading to serious injury, or, death). And the last possibility, the tornado may not lift you at all. Tornado winds vary greatly, and the winds may not even effect you where you are at. By the way, tornado winds do not suck, they actually blow. The reason a person is lifted into a tornado is because the pushing winds push you into the air.
Hope this has answered your question!

Depends on the size of the tornado.
The smaller ones will throw you a few hundred feet, whereas the bigger ones will send you straight to death/very bad injury.

All the debris the tornado picks up would shred you to wet dust.

I don’t really know for certain, but I’m not sure that it’s possible for a person to get sucked in, b/c they would be blown away first.

tornadoes have lightning in them and have debris and things spinning around them. a person could be hit by either. or, when the tornado picks them up they can be thrown a great distance and die.
then again, really depends on the type of tornado.
have a nice day.

Few people have survived a tornado, being thrown 100s of feet, by first passing out because when they landed their body absorbed the impact equally throughout their bodies because they were passed out and their bodies went into that defense mechanism to do so. I saw it on the Discovery Channel.

well……. it depend on what kind of tornado is . if u get stuck in it . it can kill u or u stay alive . it depend on tornado’s power or force. if u get high in the sky and there no soft sport on ground u would die or get badly injur. so i think u should not go near the tornado . the tornado are dreset side where is hot and dry land , mostly u would find derset side.

It’s not the wind that kills, it’s the debris that is carried in it. Tornadoes aren’t sucking you up at all, infact they’re simply lifting you up. But, the speed of the wind will determine how fast you are spinning around, resulting in dizziness or even unconsciousness. Then there’s the speed at which the tornado lets you fall back down to Earth at – might result in no injuries, or on the other hand, broken bones, or maybe death.
