Usually, famous buildings can also be historical buildings built prior to the 1930s. I’m also assuming you would want buildings that are in or near earthquake zones.
They might include the following. the Oakland Museum, (California), the Carson Mansion, (California), Weyerhaeuser Headquarters, Tacoma, Washington, U.S. Supreme Court, Washington D.C., Crystal Cathedral, (Los Angeles, California), Watts Towers, ( Los Angeles, California), Mount Angel Library, (Mount Angel, Oregon)
Else where: Pantheon, (Rome, Italy), Palace at Knossos, (Knossos, Crete), Leaning Tower of Pisa, (Pisa, Italy), Kansai Airport Terminal, (Osaka, Japan), Imperial Palace, (Kyoto, Japan.).
