Earthquake Questions
I had Geography as a subject in BA(Pass) Course. Now I want to study geology and want to specialise in vulcanicity , earthquake (and later want to study Archeology as well) . Is it possible for me to do MSc Geology(preferably from University of Delhi)? . Is there any age limit to get admissions?
Is Correspondence course from a foreign university in US or UK possible?

Well if you want to study seismology (earthquakes) and (Volcanology), the University of Hawaii is great. I have never heard of the word volcanicity. The word we use for that is volcanism. I wouldn’t use the term volcanisity. There are a lot of really good universities out west (US) that are great for studying geological disciplines. I am not familiar of the UK, however I am sure they have some very good colleges that you can go to to study. I have heard of a lot of good colleges out in Australia and New Zealand.

Okay, let’s start out by getting our terminology straight. That will help out when choosing a college and program. The areas you are interested in are Volcanology (study of volcanoes and volcanic processes) and Seismology (study of seismic events and processes). Yes, it is certainly possible to obtain a Masters degree in geology, as well as a PhD. I am quite sure you would be able to find a program in the area of the world you wish to study in. I would suggest you visit the appropriate university websites to determine what degree programs they offer and what the curriculum is for the program. The website would also address any age limits, though I seriously doubt there are any such restrictions (I know of no age restrictions at U.S. universities). Good luck!
