Some time in the middle of the night my mother was having a nightmare and it sounded like she was talking for 2 people by the way she was talking in her sleep. Then she wakes up and tells me what was bothering her in her dream (2 – 4 am). After she tells me, I try to fall asleep ( I think about allot of things before i fall asleep ). But as i was thinking i asked god to show me if there really is a god, So 4 minutes later a small earthquake happens?
could it have just been a coincidence?
or was it god showing me?

I am worried that im going to catch hell for asking this but I am starting to get scared. For the past few weeks i have been having HORRIBLE dreams and they seem to actually be coming true.

Two weeks ago I had a dream that a child fell into my bed. I woke up and searched for it wanting to make sure it was ok. A normal reaction when you wake up like that right? Well the next night my daughter fell out of her crib and she fell in such a way that the child in my dream fell.

A little bit after that I had a dream that the ground starting to shake and that everything started crashing down around me. A day or two after that the Haiti earthquake happened.

Almost immediately after that I started dreaming about an explosion every night and it would either keep me awake or wake me up. Today when I went to yahoo.com to look at the articles out of boredom, the first picture i saw for the first article listed was about an explosion overseas.

I’m really getting scared, and heres the part that people are really going to make fun of me for =\ I have been having dreams off and on through all of this of a huge catastrophe-like event.

I guess my question is, am i making too much out of nothing? Its all just a coincidence right?

Ok so since I was like in 8th grade(i’m a junior in college now) I’ve always been interested in 2012 and nostradamus’s predictions….well I found this page about 5 or 6 years ago maybe even 7 and I’ve been consulting it ever since. well with all of whats going on nowadays (earthquakes, economy, war, etc.) I decided to read it again about 2 weeks ago. Well today I found out about this unknown comet coming near us soon(http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20100406/sc_space/newfoundasteroidwillflyclosebyearththursday) and i thought what the heck because it made me think of a paragraph i had read on the nostradamus page of predictions and so i referenced it again… the first paragraph says:

"A very bright, previously unknown comet will appear and coincide with the time of great geological troubles, with earthquakes and volcanoes erupting and disrupting weather systems. This will cause widespread famines, droughts, and social upheavals in unexpected places. Nations that are considered prosperous and powerful, particularly western nations, will be weakened. They will be torn with civil strife and rioting as people migrate to areas that have water and can support crop-growing. The social upheaval and weakening of political structures will help the Antichrist come to power."(you can also read it at http://www.nostradamusonline.com/sample_chapter.php)

well i find it scary because its right. i mean the news article itself calls it the Newfound Asteroid and there are a lot of geological troubles(i’m not just talking about earthquakes because if you haven’t noticed, volcanoes have been making the news too).

Recent earthquakes : http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/
Volcanos: http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/04/05/alaska-mt-redoubt-waking/ and http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/03/29/undersea-volcano-threatens-italy/

Do you think the rest will happen? I personally hope its just a coincidence but regardless its a scary thought (

I bought the facts to one Republican and he was such a cry baby he got my question deleted. This is what I told him. Since Bush took office, the price of oil and gas have more than doubled, which I am sure is just a coincidence, the fact that his family is in the oil business and making a hefty profit probably has nothing to do with it. We find ourselves still involved in a war way after the mission objective was achieved, which was to capture Sadaam and those so called weapons of mass destruction. Although we all know Iraq is a country well known for its oil supply, I am sure that has no bearing on our troops continued presence there. He dropped the ball on the Hurricane Katrina disaster and lied about having any knowledge about the condition of the levies in New Orleans, as video taped evidence showed him down playing the importance of having them repaired. As a president Bush has been a failure. Why can’t Republicans face the fact that they screwed up?

Coincidence? Why is it everything in the Bible ever predicted has come true?

We’ve had several major earthquakes in the past two months, and now there has been another one in Turkey. People say that they are unrelated, but is there any underlying cause for so many earthquakes happening around the world so close to each other? Could anything be causing this much notable seismic activity or is it just a coincidence and getting large amounts of media coverage?

The earthquakes in Haiti and Chile were both huge, and they did not occur over a long period of time, the only around 2 months apart. Is there a reason for these earthquakes? I know what causes earthquakes, I want to know if theres something else happening that caused the two massive quakes , or if it means something will happen? Or is it just a coincidence? What do you think?

here it is, any feedback(good or bad) would be greatly appreciated =]
oh and sorry if some of the character’s presence is a bit sudden, its not random, they’ve already been introduced in previous paragraphs, so yea….

—————————————————————————————————————————————–

Something happened the moment his finger made contact with the chrome flush switch though, that averted him from following through- the ground began to rumble. For three quick seconds the ground gently quivered as if it were alive and hungry, and then went back to being still. At first Lionel was motionless and struck dumb by this sudden event, but then came to a fast conclusion- that it had only been a suttle earthquake. He swallowed some saliva with hard found ease and started to laugh. He laughed because he found the idea of an earthquake striking at that precise moment terribly funny, given his awkward situation.

The laughter came to an abrupt stop however, when the shaking of the ground arose once more. This time with more intensity than the last. Everything; all the tooth brush cups and paste, medication, shampoo and conditioners, gels, sprays, and wall pictures, began to hit the floor. Lionel didn’t think it was so funny now. Quite the opposite, he was scared out of his mind, and was even more so, when he saw the bathroom floor tile begin to pop out of place. This was something to worry about he thought, it meant the floor wasn’t stable, if he was on the second floor of a two-story house and it couldn’t hold- Lionel didn’t even want to think what would happen, much less stick around to find out. And so in one brisk movement he was up and on his feet, looking like a fool with his pants on the ground.

Maybe it was coincidence or maybe poor Lionel was just cursed, but at the exact instant his feet touched the ground, the lights went out and nothing could be seen, save for a slim line of light emitting from beneath the bathroom door- his target would be that.

As Lionel took his first step towards escape, he was brutally knocked off balance by a sudden rise of rage in the uncontrollable shaking, and thrown into the glass sliding doors of the shower. They shattered, and an ear-splitting crashing noise, that would make almost anyone cringe, was made. However, Lionel was quick to get over the broken glasses’ effect, and focus on the task ahead- getting the hell out of there.

He was in the most uncomfortable position of his life and couldn’t see a thing, yet this didn’t stop Lionel from being able to regain his composition and most importantly get on his feet again. The plan was simple- to open the door as fast as he could and get out. It was’nt that far after all, five, six- feet maybe. All he had to do was keep his balance.

With pants on the ground and all, he went for it. But as he did, he was stopped dead in his tracks by something astonishing- a narrow thin crack of blinding light, that appeared along the floor like a slithering snake, making its way through the tile as if it were water. From it came a radiant red glow that hurt the eye, and the more it seemed to advance in its conquest for territory, the more Lionel felt the floor was going to collapse.

For moments he remained hypnotized under shock and wonderment, unable to move or budge, but then he heard that which brought him back, "Lionel! Baby are you ok!", his mother’s voice let out in freak panick.
"Loinel-"
"Yea! I’m coming, hold on!", Lionel replied in a more calmly fashion. Determind to reach safe haven and now his mother, he pulled up his pants half way, managing however he could to do so, and told himself ‘alright, here we go…another challenge’.

Unexpectedly, to his own surprise, he was hesitant at the moment of truth. Something about that little crack didn’t seem right- everthing, starting with where the light was coming from. If it weren’t for the fact that his life was in danger, Lionel would have been mind boggled by this.

"Ahhh!", it was Mrs. Willquez again. This time yelling at the top of her lungs with excrutiating pain and lament. A loud thump and short squeal atlast, brought an end to the woman’s screaming. Lionel, terrified by thoughts of horror at hearing this, was given the little push he needed to get a move on.

hey this is the continuation to of something i posted on earlier. Just so you know it’s about a 15 yearold named Lionel who falls into Hell and goes off in an epic adventur..blah,blah,blah. Anyways, this is a scene pretty close to the begining where the crack which he actually falls through is opening. here it is and thanks :
————————————–…

Something happened, that averted him from following through though, the moment his finger made contact with the chrome flush switch- the ground began to rumble. For three quick seconds the ground gently quivered as if it were alive and hungry, and then went back to being still. At first Lionel was struck dumb by this sudden event, but then came to a fast conclusion- that it had only been a soft earthquake. He swallowed some saliva with hard found ease and started to laugh. He laughed because he found the idea of an earthquake striking at that precise moment terribly funny, given his awkward situation.

The laughter came to an abrupt stop however, when the shaking of the ground arose once more. This time, more intense than the last. Everything; all the tooth brush cups and paste, medication, shampoo and conditioners, gels, sprays, and wall pictures, began to hit the floor. Lionel didn’t think it was so funny then.

Quite the opposite, he was scared out of his mind, and was even more so, when he saw the bathroom floor tile begin to pop out of place. This was something to worry about he thought, it meant the floor wasn’t stable. If he was on the second floor of a two-story house and it couldn’t hold- Lionel didn’t even want to think what would happen, much less stick around to find out. And so in one brisk movement he was up and on his feet, looking like a fool with his pants on the ground, and feeling like one too.

Maybe it was coincidence or maybe Lionel was just cursed, but at the exact instant his feet touched the ground, the lights went out and nothing could be seen, save for a slim line of light emitting from beneath the bathroom door- his target would be that.

As Lionel took his first steps towards escape, he was brutally knocked off balance by a sudden rise of rage in the uncontrollable shaking and thrown into the glass sliding doors of the shower. They shattered, while simultaneously releasing an ear-splitting noise, that only the likes of shattered glass could give off.

With little thought, he went for it. But as he did, he was stopped dead in his tracks by something astonishing- a narrow thin crack of blinding light, that appeared along the floor like a slithering snake, making its way through the tile as if it were water. From it came a radiant red glow that hurt the eye, and the more it seemed to advance in its conquest for territory, the more Lionel felt the floor under his feet was going to collapse.

For moments he remained hypnotized under awe, and his body entered a state of strict muscle contraction. Fore in spite of everything that was going on, Lionel’s mind flung the dangers present aside, and risked the precious time to challenge the existance of things seemingly impossible, right there and then, such as that of this which was before him, by trying to figure out a reasonable explanation for this strange phenomena, keeping in mind he was on the second floor. It was his nature to be skeptical and always ask ‘why and how’ when something seemed odd or out of place, apparently even now, this was true.
That which managed to bring him back was his mother’s voice in freak panic,
"Lionel! Baby are you ok!"
"Loinel!"
"Yea mom! I’m coming, hold on!", he replied remarkebly calm, still bugged a little by the mystery of the crack. Anyways, determind to reach safe haven and now his mother, Lionel pulled up his pants half way, managing however he could to sustain them, and told himself ‘alright, here we go…another challenge’.

"One, two,…three!", he courageously declared. But that’s all he did. He didn’t move, he didn’t budge- he was hesitant. What was to fear of this little crack, he thought. Perhaps, maybe just that it was against all the laws of reality? Acknowledging his own sarcastic humor, even if only for a brief moment, he smiled.

Short lived was his grin, coming to the end when his ears cringed at the sound of a , as only a woman could. A loud thump and short squeal atlast, brought an end to the woman’s screaming.

Back in 1994, The Northridge, California earthquake struck. Then a year later, on the same date, Kobe, Japan was struck by a big quake. Is it coincidence, or perhaps does one quake cause underground pressure, which may cause another quake?

I cant find anything on the news but i don’t know something happened. i don’t know what it was a tornado earthquake pocket of gas underground i have no clue so just trying to see if anyone else had this happen or heard anything. IF not well then i guess i will just forget about it and take it all as a really random coincidence thanks to all who answer and God Bless

Pope goes to Africa. Pope says condoms don’t prevent spread of HIV, possibly condeming thousands of his followers to death.

A few weeks later a huge earthquake hits Italy and 207 people die. Coincidence?
Me, I’m an atheist. I’m just LOLing at sweet irony.
With how much collateral damage God causes, simply hitting th right country’s admirable for him.

Esp. in the last decade so many strong earthquakes happened in Asia and Africa and
and some deceiving light eatrthquakes in other continents (or other religious \ ethnic nations’ countries) as given below:
Country Year Deaths
Indonesia 2006 6.000
" 2006 5.400
" 2005 300
" 2004 212.000
" 2000 100
Pakistan 2005 30.000
Iran 2005 500
" 2003 28.000
Moroocco 2004 600
Turkey 1999 30.000

Is it a coincidence that earthquakes happens in the developing countries?

If one believes that a living cell can come into existence by coincidence, then there is nothing to prevent one from believing a similar story that we will relate below. It is the story of a town:
One day, a lump of clay, pressed between the rocks in a barren land, becomes wet after it rains. The wet clay dries and hardens when the sun rises, and takes on a stiff, resistant form. Afterwards, these rocks, which also served as a mould, are somehow smashed into pieces, and then a neat, well shaped, and strong brick appears. This brick waits under the same natural conditions for years for a similar brick to be formed. This goes on until hundreds and thousands of the same bricks have been formed in the same place. However, by chance, none of the bricks that were previously formed are damaged. Although exposed to storm, rain, wind, scorching sun, and freezing cold for thousands of years, the bricks do not crack, break up, or get dragged away, but wait there in the same place with the same determination for other bricks to form.
When the number of bricks is adequate, they erect a building by being arranged sideways and on top of each other, having been randomly dragged along by the effects of natural conditions such as winds, storms, or tornadoes. Meanwhile, materials such as cement or soil mixtures form under "natural conditions", with perfect timing, and creep between the bricks to clamp them to each other. While all this is happening, iron ore under the ground is shaped under "natural conditions" and lays the foundations of a building that is to be formed with these bricks. At the end of this process, a complete building rises with all its materials, carpentry, and installations intact.
Of course, a building does not only consist of foundations, bricks, and cement. How, then, are the other missing materials to be obtained? The answer is simple: all kinds of materials that are needed for the construction of the building exist in the earth on which it is erected. Silicon for the glass, copper for the electric cables, iron for the columns, beams, water pipes, etc. all exist under the ground in abundant quantities. It takes only the skill of "natural conditions" to shape and place these materials inside the building. All the installations, carpentry, and accessories are placed among the bricks with the help of the blowing wind, rain, and earthquakes. Everything has gone so well that the bricks are arranged so as to leave the necessary window spaces as if they knew that something called glass would be formed later on by natural conditions. Moreover, they have not forgotten to leave some space to allow the installation of water, electricity and heating systems, which are also later to be formed by coincidence. Everything has gone so well that "coincidences" and "natural conditions" produce a perfect design.
If you have managed to sustain your belief in this story so far, then you should have no trouble surmising how the town’s other buildings, plants, highways, sidewalks, substructures, communications, and transportation systems came about. If you possess technical knowledge and are fairly conversant with the subject, you can even write an extremely "scientific" book of a few volumes stating your theories about "the evolutionary process of a sewage system and its uniformity with the present structures". You may well be honoured with academic awards for your clever studies, and may consider yourself a genius, shedding light on the nature of humanity.
The theory of evolution, which claims that life came into existence by chance, is no less absurd than our story, for, with all its operational systems, and systems of communication, transportation and management, a cell is no less complex than a city.

A few years back when I was attending a school at a technical college in Tacoma, Washington….I was always missing school because, I was partying late and could’nt get up in the mornings. Though I wanted to go to school and do what is right. I awoke in the morning to my alarm clock very tired and found myself falling back to sleep. I wished these exact words, " I wish a earthquake would happen or something" to God. Within seconds the earth was moving. It was the biggest earthquake I felt since I lived here. I think it was like a 6.8. Do you think God was talking to me or giving me sign or was it just coincidence.
Just to add a note. I don’t recall anyone getting hurt from the earthquake. I will have to look into that. Thanks for the answers everyone!

well, i live in california, and we're prone to earthquakes. the last time i had a dream about an earthquake in southern california, it happened a couple days later the one in july 2008(hopefully it's a coincidence)

well, my mom told me her co-worker also had a dream of an earthquake…so hopefully it won't occur.

Early yesterday morning there was an earthquake in this area and we heard what sounded like a loud boom outside. Around that time our dog has been going wild and seems really hyped up. He won't be still and tries to play but he bites way too hard! He usually sleeps w/my mom, but he kept her up all night last night because he kept jumping down. Also we put food in his dish and when we came home last night a couple hours later it was all gone. This is extremely unusual for him because he usually only eats a little at a time and picks the brown pieces out. I don't see why the earthquake would have changed him that much because things have scared him before unless something else is about to happen. Is it just coincidence? Anyone else's dog acting like this?
