allah just earthquaked Indonesia again knocking down many buildings, including mosques. He keeps on terrorizing the most populous Islamic country in the world. Seriously, I have never seen a country so frequently rocked by earthquakes as Islamic Indonesia. It’s incredible.

Some areas are safer to live than others. If you live away from the coastline in an area that has no real threat of earthquake, your pretty safe from allah’s little temper tantrums. Guess you didnt think this through.

After BCT & AIT, do National Guardsmen do some sort of specific training that would prepare them for natural disasters? Since that is one of it’s missions? Or do the soldiers mostly concentrate on their MOS? Thanks for any info, just wondering.
I live in FL & we supposedly never get ‘dangerous’ tornadoes, but earlier today everyone was saying that there was one. How big does a tornado have to be to pick up a car? providing shelter and food kind of stuff. i don’t mean to sound pretentious i really don’t, but being a young male, there is just something about taking risks that makes it a whole lot more meaningful & exciting to me…i intend on applying to become a local volunteer firefighter but doing some kind of international disaster relief would be great. like search and rescue, putting out fires, providing food and shelter too, but mostly physical

i have noticed that since year 2000, a lot of natural disasters have been occuring and seem to be intensifying as we draw even closer to 2012, i mean just this year alone we have had the earth quake in haiti, the earth quake in chile and the earth quake in turkey, the earthquake in indonesia, not to talk about the massive flood in portugal and the latest earthquake in china. is it just me or does it seem that the closer we get to 2012 the mayan end of the world the worse globally things seem to become. i am starting to think that all of these are signs and that on december 21 2012, that something will go wrong with the hadron collider in 2012 and BANG!, THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN AND BYE BYE WORLD WITH A BANG. just interested what are ur thoughts

I’ve been thinking & SOO many things have changed. I remember when walkmans were ALL THAT (seeing Will Smith on the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air having one helped a little bit 
), but now you’d be embarrased to be seen walking around with them. CD’s were the latest thing, now, mp3s & i-pods are the sh*t.
I remeber PROJECTORS (you know, the rickedy old thing that made the movies looked like an earthquake was occuring, only it really wasn’t??). Then the classics came out on VHS & i remeber when they actually used to be EXPENSIVE!!! Then DVDs were made & now everyone’s gotta have them(even though they scratch really easily).

I work for an orphanage in Haiti, which news stations across the country have been covering since the earthquake. Some of them I am able to get ahold of to get copies of the stories, some I am not. There’s a program @ my university where they give a MEMORIAL Loan to students who are in financial need & are receiving financial aid, & the money is deducted from my refund checks. But they told me that if I am in DIRE need, I have to write them a letter of being in extenuating circumstances, so I can get the money earlier. I’m on a fixed income, my electricity bill is high because I had to pay a deposit on it, & I’m low on food & clothing, & I need books & school supplies. & this type of loan is NOT credit-based. My financial credit is poor as a result of Hurricane Katrina (long story) but I became in debt, trying to replace my necessities.
I only have 3 towels & washcloths left. I didn’t realize my brother was stealing my stuff when I was living with him. Now I have my own apartment.

Alright, so I was moving and packing up my things because I’m moving next week…
and I found an ancient saber in the back of my closet. I don’t remember how I got it. But it’s old and crazy elaborate. I have some pictures here that I’ll put in the details.
I’m wondering if anyone knows a lot about this sort of thing or can tell me what they think of where it’s from.
Here’s what I do know:
-The blade says "Germany", nearest to the handle.
-The handle says J.M. LITCHFIELD & Co. on it, which is one company out of many that was destroyed in the horrible 1906 San Francisco Earthquake when the entire city crumbled, caught fire, and was declared Martial Law
-The Blade says 32 on it, in multiple places.
-J. M. Litchfield & Co. Existed from 1876 – 1906.
anyway so that’s all I know, I’m really trying to learn more about it, and exploring the idea of sending it to a museum, or selling it to a collector where it would be better appreciated. I can guess that it’s a military saber.

As if some kind of radiated pulse or modifier is aimed at water supply near storm to increase the storm development in a certain area.
I have noticed this and have copied several instances to my hard drive. Whenever I have seen these patterns – these storms became major disasters.
Could our Government have some kind of Weather Modification satellite in space? You know, some kind of microwave pulse or beam directed at nearby water supplies to warm up the water and creat more moisture/power in the storm.
I saw this during hurricane Katrina – A major glitch flashing right across the Infrared weather screen right befor ethe storm intensified.
And it is only visible on the Infrared screen

Can seismic testing drive animals crazy?
Ever since they started doing gas & oil testing on my neighbors land their horse has gone crazy. Unfortunately, it jumped the fence and got hit by a passing car this weekend. But the neighbor said he just hasn’t been able to calm the horse since they started the testing. There is a pond on the property, if that helps.
