San Andreas Fault!!! (scared!!!)?

Who here is scared of the San Andreas Fault? It’s going to be anywhere from 7.8- 8.0! The earthquake is going to be huge!! And this week is earthquake preparation week!!! Tell me your comments about it and how you feel…

yes im very scared. im scared just cus how am i going to hold on. while im holding my kids. i hope we dont get a big one for a long long long…… time.

my understanding is that the Hayward fault is more at risk today.
in fact, my house isn’t far from it, and i need to move.
at some point, the San Andreas fault will rupture, and it will be the most catastrophic event in US history.
but it probably won’t be this year.
not sure where you are.
people in San Francisco are probably more at risk than anywhere else.
they won’t be able to get out.
there won’t be any water, and they’ll run out of food fairly quickly.
trains, trucks, and cars won’t be able to enter, or leave the city, because there’ll be bridges down on every route.
there could be water (ferry) transportation, but there’ll be no gas or diesel because the refineries will all be shut down.
as i said, it won’t be this year.
but it will happen eventually.
