Rush 'meant' what he said about Haiti. Your thoughts?

Rush Limbaugh is not backing down from his claim that President Barack Obama is trying to score political points off the earthquake in Haiti.
Challenged by a caller during his show Thursday, Limbaugh said: “If I said it, I meant to say it, and I do believe that everything is political to this president.”
“Everything this president sees is a political opportunity, including Haiti, and he will use it to burnish his credentials with minorities in this country and around the world, and to accuse Republicans of having no compassion,” Limbaugh said in comments flagged by the liberal blog Think Progress. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20100115/pl_politico/31539
The host claimed the White House’s response would bolster Obama’s standing in the “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”
He also appeared to discourage help for the island nation, saying, “We’ve already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”
Critics have characterized Limbaugh’s comments as insensitive and tone-deaf at a time when heartbreaking images of the devastation dominate news coverage.
Confronted with some of that criticism, Limbaugh slammed a caller as “close-minded.”
“What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a blockhead,” Limbaugh shot back. “What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a close-minded bigot who is ill-informed.”
“If you had listened to this program for a modicum of time, you would know it,” he said. “But instead, you’re a blockhead. Your mind is totally closed. You have tampons in your ears. Nothing is getting through other than the biased crap that you read.”
Dude needs a valium bad! Chill out Limbaugh, you don’t have to be jerk your entire life do you? ( o _ 0 )
Rush L: "Everything this president sees is a political opportunity."
And everything that Rush L does is out of the "benevolence" of his heart?
( ^ _ ^ ) I like Rush…when he’s "quiet."

It is Rash Limberger, what do you expect. If Faux Noos had any real respectability at all, they would have fired him long ago.

I think Rush Limbaugh is a bit melodramatic. Always has been. Always will be. He enjoys being obnoxious more so than most people. But he is entitled to his opinion and in some respects, he is right. Obama does use everything he can to his political advantage — the financial aid and the U.S.’s leadership role in Haiti’s recovery are no different. Obama will milk the situation for all it’s worth.
It’s a horrible thing that has happened in Haiti and my prayers are with those who live there and those here seeking information about their family.
But, personally, I wish we put half as much energy into resolving homelessness, starvation and poverty in our country as we do in "saving the world." But there’s no political advantage to that, so for the most part, it’s ignored by our Government.

consider the source, and REMEMBER the Bush family response to the Katrina disaster-really, really, really lacking basic compassion!
There isn’t a politician in the Universe who does not use every opportunity for political gain.
The Republicans included-Like making pronouncements about the ulterior motive of every movement and breath of the current president(They did it to Clinton as well) to some how improve their own situation politically. Mr Limbaugh has gotten quite thin lately, since he stopped the Vicodin has he discovered the other end of the spectrum?

He’s a truly pathetic excuse for a human being. What amazes me is how people continue to be surprised at the things he says. I don’t fall for it. Unfortunately many people do. What he does is quite simply really … he says things the race-baiting, xenophobic, "big government is after us!" crowd wants to hear and that naturally keeps his ratings steady. He will then say extremely controversial things to get more media attention. The media gives him the attention he wants, and then more people listen to his show. It’s all about profit and money. That’s all it is to him. He doesn’t care about you, me, his minions or anyone else but his bank account.
Regarding the situation with Haiti … quite ironic how some Americans will whine about a few million being thrown at Haiti, yet billions for dropping bombs on third world countries? No problem! Don’t question it! According to the far right, that would be "un-American" to question the government’s foreign war escapades to keep the military industrial complex happy. But if a major earthquake strikes a tiny island nation that was already poor to begin with, and then we send some aid? "Why are MY taxes being used to help these poor black people!? It’s THEIR fault they’re POOR to begin with anyways! Tyranny!" – The hypocrisy and racism of the right-wing never ceases to amaze me.
Thankfully most *humans* are better than those type of people and realize that the people of Haiti need our help.

Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson are both fine examples of loving Christians – NOT!

He spoke the truth , straight out. The fact that you racists are trying to put some kind of spin on it speaks volumes.

Despite being a Democrat I like that pompous blow-hards
such as Limbaugh have the freedom to speak their mind.
Howard Stern used to say what he wanted to and
he offended many people. But I liked him.
It’s great that media isn’t totally censored and
only playing Bing Crosby Christmas carols.
