I was listening to the radio the other day and the host mentioned something about North Carolina lying on a fault line. I was wondering if anybody knew the name of this fault line and a website for more information about it

There are tons of fault (major and minor) in the Southeast US. A large, much studied fault in North Carolina is the Hayesville-Fries fault.
This is a fantastic paper by one of my former instructors and one of the premier Appalachian geologists of our time.
