Is Pat Robertson’s ‘Major’ relief effort typical of the Republican approach to disaster?

Disaster
Pat Robertson says he has launched a ‘Major’ relief effort for haiti. Seems he has asked his followers to send him money and he will pray for Haitians.
Wonder how much he will add to his already substantial wealth at the expense of this tragedy.

No, not at all.
Liberal Asskicker…the UN was already there too genius…So how were they the "first" to get there?

Anytime the disaster involves black people then yes. Look at Barbara Bush and the comment she made regarding Hurricane Katrina.

Typical of Pat Robertson, maybe not of all Republicans.

Robertson is a scam artist of the magnitude of Madoff; but his scam is legal because it’s "religious".

Move on.

We don’t claim him. You can have him. By the way, are Lyndon LaRouche, Jim Jones and Jeremiah Wright typical of the Democratic Party? Lots of people think so… so it must be true by your logic.

Christians responded sooner than anyone else in the world, including Haitians.
They were already on scene when it happened, and some missionaries had their building projects destroyed in the quake.
You losers on the left have no idea what charity is like, so naturally you look like profiteers in any event that happens. Those who truly sacrifice don’t wait for disasters.

Is this before or after he said the Haitians had this coming to them because they made a pact with the devil.
NUT JOB!

Sounds about right. Was it Pat that said the earthquake was God’s punishment, or some other great humanitarian televangelist.

Robertson said on his 700 Club show the other night that the earthquake was the Haitan people’s fault because they made a deal with the devil which resulted in the devil kicking out their white slavemasters and giving them freedom.
Now he wants to raise money for them?

That’s all organized religions. They have opulent properties and give out so little of their contributions collected.
It is not a Republican or Democrat virtue. Walk into a Catholic or protestant church and see where the money is going.

What a piece of work! Was he there when this was pact was done? He sure knows how to insult a country when it’s down. Then his pal on fox say Obama was happy about this horror so he can look good helping. When are people going to leave politics out of human suffering? It is so shameful!

Pat Robertson is prophet of the Republican Party. I would never send penny to his organization.

I really don’t watch Pat Robertson very much, if ever, but I do believe that making a pack with the devil will not bring anybody any luck. That bible did say the sins of the father are visited on the sons.
Former President Clinton did say last night, on Fox cable news, that 200 years ago Haiti was the richest country in the Caribbean. That was before they had a slave revolution and slaughtered their French plantation owners, additionally VooDoo is currently widely practiced in that country.
I don’t mean to be a bible thump-er, which I am not, but it does appear to me that the practice of Voodoo anywhere in the world does not to bring success and happiness rather the opposite, horror-able poverty and unspeakable human misery,
Wasn’t New Orleans big on VooDoo?
