I imagine the government would have to help California like Katrina.

Damages to people – maybe.
Damages to buildings – no.
Damn silly place to build a city anyway.

honestly it would depend on the area. If it were Beverly Hills, I may have second thoughts about it. If it hit in southside Los Angeles I’d give in a heartbeat.
it depends on whether the homes were several million dollar homes, or rentals. If the person is rich, what in the world would they need my money for? If the person is middle class, upper middle class, lower class, sure! I’d give until it hurt, like I did for 9/11, and Katrina/Rita.

We have to help those idiots in New Orleans that build houses below sea level why not?

I don’t know -do ya think we have enough tax money considering the enormous Bush deficit and the trillion dollar war debt ?
We had surplus when Clinton was president -now we need another Democrat in office to set things right again.

If a huge earthquake hits California you can bet you will pay for it one way or the other. These United States are like family — one member has a problem they didn’t create, everybody pitches in.
