How many earthquakes in the past have hit Haiti?

I just want to know this was the only one or if there has been others in the area. I am interested to know because this would be a great opportunity to find out if plates have shifted if there were never any earthquakes here before.

I expect that no one knows this. There have probably been hundreds or even thousands if you go back far enough. Some are tiny and are hardly felt. Some happened millions of years ago.
