How many earthquakes have there been in the last 3 months now?

Earthquake Questions
Another big earthquake just happened in the Solomon Islands!
I feel like saying: if a person doesn’t think these quakes are one of the signs that Jesus said would be happening to mark the end times and signify His return, their delusional!
Jesus said there would be earthquakes all over the place all happening at the same time or very close to each other, that’s never been the pattern before of earthquakes in human history!
A person can check this in science facts!
Many of the things that God has said would happen in the end times has already taken place!

It’s not that we’re getting more earthquakes. It’s that we’re getting stronger earthquakes. The magnitude of earthquakes are going up 20% every year. Check out this site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_big.php
People get ready…Jesus is coming soon!

Lord Im ready now
Im waiting for Your triumphant return
Youre coming so soon
This world has nothing for me
I find my peace and joy solely in You
Only in You
I want the world to see that
Youre alive and living well in me
Let me be a part of the harvest
For the days are few
Hes coming soon
People get ready Jesus is comin
Soon well be going home
People get ready Jesus is coming
To take from the world His own
There will be a day
When we will be divided right and left
For those who know Him
And those who do not know
Those who know Him well
Will meet Him in the air
Hallelujah
God is with us
Those who do not know
They will hear "Depart, I knew you not"
For my friends you see
There will be a day when well be counted
So know Him well, know Him well
People get ready Jesus is comin
Soon well be going home
People get ready Jesus is coming
To take from the world His own
People get ready Jesus is comin
Soon well be going home
People get readyJesus is coming
To take from the world His own

A lot. Most usually happened night time.

You are delusional for believing that.BTW, earthquakes can’t just happen anywhere, they happen near tectonic fault lines.
Tartan Duck on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
eathquakes happen really frequently. Most are very minor and cause no disruption. But the severe kind are definately increasing in freqency and happen in more random locations.

I must of missed this on the news, my little island (england) has never been known for extreme earthquakes so when a proper one hits here i’ll let you know.
idoubtit on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
people who believe in gods and devils and prophets and spirits are delusional not the ones that know no gods or devils exist outside of a believers mind .
Corey on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
The normal amount of earthquakes. Maybe *you* should check this in scientific facts.
interested1208 on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
Well, how long is this ‘supposed’ to happen before you get whatever you expect to get?
‘
I would think the total lack of any earthquakes, which are a natural occurrence by the way, would be far more miraculous… but then again, most of us aren’t crazy enough to keep score for a deity…

They call that God of the Gaps Theory. A lack of scientific understanding isn’t evidence for Armageddon, sorry.

Please produce evidence of a demonstrable change in the rate of seismic activity.
Thanks in advance.

Earthquakes are random. They happen all of the time but are mostly too small to be felt.
It is pure chance the number of times that an Earthquake has hit an area of dense population has increased.
What are statistics without anomalies? (I’m not trying to be disrespectful, I have given lots of money to Earthquake relief charities. But in a decade or two, this year will be nothing more than a statistic.)
Gorgeoustx Go Spurs Go! on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
LMAO!
There have been way too many quakes and I fear for our west coast.
As far as Jesus goes, fundie, he already missed that boat.
Jesus tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom within their lifetime. Matthew 23:36 & 24:34
Amen, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. (Matthew 23:36 NAB)
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:29-35 NAB)
YET AGAIN, Jesus claims those standing RIGHT BEFORE HIM shall see the Armageddon. Matthew 16:28 “There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Don’t let Christians lie to you and claim Jesus was referring to his modern day believers. The words “some standing HERE will not taste death” clearly refutes such nonsense. Obviously the people he was speaking to died, and curiously Jesus STILL isn’t here to claim his kingdom.
4) Jesus falsely prophesies that the end of the world will come within his listeners’ lifetimes.
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:30-31 NAB)
He also said to them, "Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come in power." (Mark 9:1 NAB)
5) Jesus falsely predicts that some of his listeners would live to see him return and establish the kingdom of God.
"Truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:27 NAB)
6) Jesus implies that he will return to earth during the lifetime of John. (John 21:22)
7) Jesus says that all that he describes (his return, signs in the sun, moon, wars, stars, etc.) will occur within the lifetime of his listeners. He purposely defines their generation and NOT a future one. Considering that NONE of those signs took place during the resurrection and that he uses the term of “Heaven and earth shall pass away”, Clearly Jesus is prophesizing that nearly 2,000 years ago Armageddon SHOULD have occurred. Luke 21:25-33
"There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand." He taught them a lesson. "Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Luke 21:25-33 NAB)

if the world DOESNT end in 2012, will you give up your juvenile belief in the mythical sky-daddy and take personal responsibility for your own life?
Mojo on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 pm
The classic fool’s bet. "It will happen in my lifetime!"
There are two possibilities: it does, or it doesn’t.
If it does, you win.
If it doesn’t, you are dead, and you can’t lose.
It takes someone with a complete lack of integrity to cleave to this argument and believe it is anything less than cowardice.

Ok so your prognosis is that the end will be in what year decade or century… That game already play by many holy people who love fear….i will give you a few
About 30CE, Matthew 24:34, Yeshua is recorded as saying: "…This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Since the life expectancy in those days was little over 30 years, Jesus appears to have predicted his second coming sometime during the 1st century CE. It didn’t happen
1000-JAN-1CE, Many Christians in Europe had predicted the end of the world on this date. As the date approached, Christian armies waged war against some of the Pagan countries in Northern Europe. The motivation was to convert them all to Christianity, by force if necessary, before Christ returned in the year 1000,End?
1346 and later: The black plague spread across Europe, killing one third of the population. This was seen as the prelude to an immediate end of the world. Unfortunately, the Christians had previously killed a many of the cats, fearing that they might be familiars of Witches. The fewer the cats, the more the rats. It was the rat fleas that spread the black plague, they help but the end failed.
1689: Benjamin Keach, a 17th century Baptist, predicted the end of the world for this year. maybe a little wrong informed.
1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994, etc. were other dates that the Watchtower Society (WTS) or its members predicted, so get in line for the end of time.
Lucky for you opinion I am the the one delusional!

Here you go – check this site out

Then check the historical earthquake data and guess what?? you will find that a similar amount of earthquakes have been recorded each year for many years.

Yes, we (southern California and Mexico) just experienced an earthquake on Easter. There is one coming very soon that will "rock" California’s coastline!
We have seen an alarming increase in seismic activity in the last few years. However, this should not strike fear in those of faith. Rather these things should encourage us to come to our Father and become ever closer to Him; align and cement our airtight relationship with Him. We should be in constant communication with Him and in prayer with all supplication. It is vital that we take nothing for granted.
Peace and Blessings

Its funny some of you think its god and some of you think its just natural but what is really the question here? Is it real or fake? Divine intervention or not? That is the question or so we shall percieve. Well i shall give my view on this matter, i think its both, i think there is natural cycles of the earth that cleans itself of nastiness and divine intervention that tells ourselves that we have a purpose on this earth to take it easy so to say in kind words but as god says take it easy my children there is a greater place that hasn’t even been discovered yet, so why ruin the one you got so far and take advantage of the world i gave you and enjoy it through all the hardships and the bad. There is a eagle on the other side to fly you away from this if you just let me show you the way.So be in belief or not and ride these wings from god or not and take your blessings that you created or god created and be free!

Okay, well maybe we should all stop trying to figure out when He comes back to earth. And stop nit-picking at all of the little things that could mean anything. Because to be honest i don’t think a whole lot of random earthquakes are gonna do anything except for some damage and maybe some new volcanoes. Other than that i don’t think we have anything to worry about. And btw, When he comes again, he says he is going to bathe the earth in fire to cast the wicked into an eternal everlasting fire but the ones who are saved will feel the flames lick at their skin but not burn them. Keep that in mind.
