Yes this is wonderful news. This is why we need to always wait until all the facts are known before we make a judgment as to the motives of peoples actions.
I hope the person who asked the question, " Will Christians now step forward to condemn the US missionaries who tried to kidnap Haitian children." will read this and understand why you should always wait until you have sufficient information before you condemn or praise anyone’s actions.
After seeing the response you are getting, I had to add this.
Apparently even the facts don’t change the opinions of those who hate what they can’t understand.

Answer to many, many prayers; not quite time to stop praying yet, though.

They should be executed, and their own children sold into slavery.
It’s in the bible.
They will be found guilty eventually. Their cowardly church will hide them, though, because baptists believe in child abuse.

I’m so angry by this I have nothing to say. Thank you for proving to me that there are still asses like you out there, whoever posted this question.

I feel they had no business taking children from their parents and trying to leave the country.

Sure. When a christian abuses children it’s god’s love. Right.

They’re getting off too light. They were trying to take children, not all of whom were actually orphans, and illegally transport them across the border. Some of the children were taken from parents who were told their children would have a better life and they could see them whenever they wanted but weren’t told their children would also be available for adoption. These baptists used underhanded methods to get those children and I question their actual motives.

I think that these idiots have been getting far too much consideration. For no other reason than the fact that they are religious.
Something like:
"Sure they were stupid. But they were Christians, so they MUST have meant well."
Anyone else would have had the book thrown at them, and no one would have objected.

But they are still not done and the investigation will continue. I don’t understand why they didn’t realize right away that they only had good intentions. Guess it was the devil, always attacking Christians. Accusing them of human trafficking for sex was totally ridiculous. They were missionaries.

To answer your question, I feel relieved.
These people were misguided but meant no harm. They just caused a lot of bother in a country that needs to spend energy on keeping its people alive. I hope this is a lesson for naive "do gooders" who act on impulse.
