I think we should all hide in caves. You can go ahead and start in your area. I will start hiding in mine. See you in 2013

Please don’t be brainwashed. Look what you so called government is doing. There Zionists. They want new world order. Type "Zionists destroying the AL-aqsa mosque". When they break world war 3 will happen and the government is hiding all of this from you. In the holy quran it said once earthquakes and tornado’s..etc happen and the al-aqsa mosque breaks Jesus and imam Mahdi will come and a big war will happen. 2 billion Muslims against the Zionists. so don’t worry just research.

They mean the earth is moving, its normal there is allways strong earthquakes, Haiti, Chili,….. If you believe in God you won’t have to worry of anything…. For me nothing is going to happen on the year 2012…even dough some of the mayan predictions had become true I just think nothing will happen. Maybe these natural disasters are occuring because they are warnings or something, the end of the world might occur any day, or time.

There is never really a guarantee of when an earthquake will happen. I doubt any credible sources are predicting an earthquake in 2012. Earthquakes have been happening since the beginning of the Earth.
California lies along the San Andreas fault, a HUGE, volatile faultline. MASSIVE earthquakes are expected near the fault. the western part of California is slowly moving northwest, so eventually (thousands of year from now) San Diego and Los Angeles would be right next to each other (or something like that).
This isn’t new to California, either. The recent quake was tame in damage compared to Northridge just over 15 years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_Northridge_earthquake It doesn’t "mean" anything except that this is a natural occurrence near tectonic plate boundaries (and even where plate boundaries aren’t like near volcanoes). In 1906 there was a quake in the San Francisco area where something like 3,000 people died.
I *love* California, but am actually hesitant to move there because it’s really only a matter of time before something big.

Nobody knows. I agree that the quakes have been occurring with more frequency lately. The USGS quake maps have been lighting up more so than in the recent past. Anyway, that is my perception of them.
Does this foretell the coming biblical end of days? Perhaps. Earthquakes in diverse places and wars and rumors of wars. The seas heaving beyond their borders, the whole earth in commotion. You can decipher it how you please. Those that know and recognize the signs will see them for what they are.

You shouldn’t be too freaked out. Earthquakes are a natural occurring force and when one happens, like clockwork, you can predict that it will set off a series of smaller tremors.
About the 2012 conspiracy, you should know:
- The Mayan calendar did not end on December 21, 2012. Rather, it was simply the end of the long-count calendar (just as ours is December 31) and further, the Mayans prophesized a joyous time, a fruitful transition of prosperity!
- The planets are not going to align for at least another few decades. Even when they do align, nothing is going to happen.
-There are no "loose" planets in the solar system. That is bull.
- We haven’t had a devastating asteroid hit the planet for 65 million years, and, whats more, NASA
already has a system to warn against such incidents.
- Solar storms will not hurt you. They happen approximately every 11 years and, if you can remember that far back, the world did not end in 2001. A solar maximum (period of greatest solar activity) is expected in the next few years, but the solar cycle will be unchanged.
-Also, the earthquakes in the movie 2012 and other propaganda are based on a theory that the core will be heated when planets align and shift the North and South pole… Guess what, that probably will happen… good thing for us it can take about 5,000 yrs to complete!
On a side note, I do believe in God and if the "Rapture" occurs in my lifetime I find hope in my faith that I will taken care of. I think that no matter what time people lived in, there has always been a paranoia of the "end of the world". Remember the black plague? World War II? We’re just fine. I think that if you get too caught up in "when the world will end", you may as well off yourself because at that point you’ve stopped living and are throwing away every precious moment to be happy and create joy for others in the world. We’re all gonna die eventually, whether today, tomorrow, 2012, 70 years from now- no amount of fear/stress/anxiety will be able to stop that train… In life, you must recognize the things you have no control over and let them go. Enjoy the beautiful weather, the family and friends who make you smile, and be grateful everyday for your health
