Have you ever been involved with a tornado? Like it going through your home or something. What was it like?

Have you ever been involved with a Tornado, driving away from it, or running away from it, or it going through your home? If so, what was it like and what advice do you have to offer? Do you hear it coming? How loud is it?

I was involved in a tornado once except I was outside at the time. I went walking in the woods and I heard a "plop" behind me. I turned around and saw a soft ball size chunk of ice on the ground. I stood there freaked out for a minute, then I heard another one, and another one. I took off running for about a quarter of a mile while it all started to come down on top of me. The winds got so strong it was hard to stand up straight. I looked ahead of me and saw a huge funnel of wind ripping through the trees in front of my house. The hail was bruising up my back and one actually hit me in the back of the head and almost knocked me out. *Cover your head* I somehow managed to get inside and flip a couch over me. The windows busted out all around me and my dad had to literally pull me up the steps onto the porch. I prayed that it would pass us..and fortunately it did. It was the scariest thing ever, but my family was more worried about me getting inside safely and risked coming out to get me.

I have never been through one but its very loud and its very fast and furios. The tornado itself doesnt kill you its the things inside the tornado.

once we were trying to get away from a tornado and you will hear a really loud noise, it would get dark, it would start raining and a heavy wind will come. Then we just saw the news on TV and It was saying that there is a tornado coming. When it was over everything was destroyed and few people died it was really sad and I never want to be in a situation like that again
