		<description>It doesn&#039;t really matter, the wave didn&#039;t KILL ANYTHING.  It was the 1,500 mile an hour winds that the asteroid impact created that did the damage.  Instantly igniting everything it touched and burning it to cinders for over a thousand of mile, they died almost instantly with the oxygen burning out of their lungs.  Even the ocean would have been deprived of oxygen at some levels.  Not a pretty thought.

But to answer your question, on the Discovery Channel they Claim the waves reached between 800 and 1,000 feet.  Pretty much, humongous!</description>
