Earthquake Questions
There have been numerous earthquakes that have been documented in the past week at yellowstone. Is this a precursor to something worse? Could this be the super volcano eruption that scientists have spoke of in the past? And how come the newspapers and media have not been picking this story up?

well i have not heard much actually but i am not sure there will be a big one yet. i think it will take millions of years i have heard it say that it could be 5 years or such. but do you realize if it does i would think most of the west would be gone depending on what way the wind goes i amnot sure but i think and hope it would be like the grand canyon. i have heard such things but the scientists have taken things from the ground core and they are not worried so that is where i lie in the situation. it won’t hurt us enough you do know that its nearly the entire state that is a top of valcano? right you knew this but i dont’ foresee this problem for manny manny years to come and i doubt any of us will see this or ancestors for very long while and that is why we have people that drill and stuff for gas and oil they know what is up so just quit worrying.

It’s being ignored. If it’s the big one, does it really matter? We’re toast.

well, the media isnt picking up because if they did – lets face it. the world would be chaos.
heaps of people would start stealing, raping etc. as the world is going to end soon it won’t matter.
People would be freaking out about death
and what if theyre wrong in the end? they cant exactly predict a volcano occuring. I study volcanos – They cannot predict, only assume from previous tremors in the ground.
Im sure it wont explode for another 100 million years

Since some one on the Orleans forum at http://www.nola.com mentioned it, and one of his links was to the National Geographic, the media is mentioning it. If you mean that so far none of the commercial or cable news services is mentioning it so far, just wait for it, but don’t expect them to go into hysterics until a tremors reaches 5.5 or more on the Richter scale.
The Earth was closest to the sun 13 or 14 hours ago. I doubt that this is a pre-cursor to the big one. I expect Mt. Rainier will erupt in my life time. I’m more worried about the New Madrid fault system slipping significantly than I am about the Yellowstone super-volcano erupting.

But they have not posted anything since the 2nd ( even tho it shows they update it every few hours) ?
We’ll see after they get back to work on Monday.
The media isnt being given information for fear of starting a panic.
The experts just do not know ..it could be another 70,000 yrs or 10 min. No one knows. So we just go on doing …
