Does anyone think the Oarfish in Japan we're infact an omen in earthquake prediction?

Earthquake Questions
Japan has had several recent smaller earthquakes ,and these fish are said to be "a messenger fish" warning of bigger earthquakes..
So are they just having these earthquakes as a residual effect from Chile, and Haiti . Or do you think that these are all small pre "Big One" earthquakes?

Some animals are indeed able to sense something before a major earthquake, but we don’t know yet what that is. It might be some sort of seismic movement we haven’t figured out yet. It might be a change in magnetic field.
The Chile quake could cause a large quake along the same fault line to come sooner than it otherwise would. The plates are slipping against each other. An earthquake happens where binding has kept the plates from moving, but the stress of plate movement finally overcame the binding and the binding released. That means other binding points along the fault are taking up the load of resisting the movement, so their stress has increased. But a quake on one fault has little affect on any other fault that’s not directly related. That is, a quake on the San Andreas fault could affect a binding spot on the nearby Hayward fault, but not on a fault in Chile or Japan.

Maybe the fish did know something….. one year earlier than the rest of us.
