Do you live in a huricane area…?

Even after all the devastation last year people are still not ready for this hurricane season (that started today).
Are you ready?
The news said that over 80% of people have done nothing to strengthen their home.
Over 2/3 of the people have NO hurricane plan (they do not stock any supplies or have any evacuation plan if the need arises)!
If I lived in Florida or Louisiana I would be scared of hurricanes (the hurricane season is getting worse every year because of Global Warming). How can they not have plans to get out?!?

Living in FL, I can say, that if it’s not one thing, it’s another. Florida has wildfires and hurricanes. New York has blizzards and ice storms. The west coast has earthquakes and mudslides. The midwest has tornados. Actually, the predictions for this year are better than last year… I can’t imagine that so many people here aren’t prepared. Most people have at least the basics, because a bad rainstorm can knock out the power in some places.

My dad lives on the beach in SC and he has a definate plan in case one hits there, I worry about him

The West don’t have much hurricanes so I’m not from hurricane zone and tornado zone. A true home with calm weather in a desert.

Truthfully I am more worried about earthquakes, because I live in California very close to a fault.

yes i live in a huricane area . I did live in chalmette . I had 6 feet of water in my apartment .my whole town was gone .but they are getting things back to normal as they can im not going back im in mississippi. I am still in the huricane area but not for the flooding just for the winds here but if one does come this way I do have a plain of action grab everything thats important to me and get out cause you never know whats going to happen .
