Do the earthquakes in my state have something to do with the Haitian earthquake?

Earthquake Questions
I live in Oklahoma, and within the past couple of weeks, there have been a number of small earthquakes. I don’t know a whole lot about tectonic plates, so I was wondering if the increased amount of earthquakes were somehow tied in with the much larger earthquake in Haiti. Thank you so much!!!

Possibly. And possibly not.
The earthquake in Haiti measured 7.9 on the seismic scale and that’s out of 10. But Oklahoma is pretty far south-east of your state. So I say no. I don’t believe that earthquake is causing yours because I live in West Virginia, which is closer to Haiti than Oklahoma and we haven’t experienced anything.
Hope this helps :p

Yes.
It’s all your fault.

Google tectonic plates and do a little reading. to answer your question, no not directly. The earth is in constant plate movement.
