An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 has shaken the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan today at 01:23:26 AM local time according to the USGS.

since the interpretation of Seismic is also difficult, more complex then others. Gravity, Magnetic methods are easy to evaluate on the other hand…

They had said the Easter earthquake in Mexico relived pressure on the San Andreas Fault. Now they just came out with a new study saying it is "Locked and loaded" and is overdue for a very large quake. Which is correct?

So, I get a high-pitched ring in my right ear, and only my right ear never the left, there’s always an earthquake within the next 24 hours. The longer it lasts, the higher the magnitude. It only rings when there’s gonna be one with a magnitude of 5.0+
My ear rang 5 times yesterday. The times were;
3: 37 a.m. (This one was the longest out of all of them)
8: 55 a.m.
9: 23 a.m.
12: 11 a.m.
5: 19 p.m.

There were 5 earthquakes!
This has been going on for about 5 years now, I’m 13.
Has anyone else had this happen?

In regards to a seismograph’s location, does the p-s interval get larger or smaller with the increasing distance from the epicenter?

For geography homework I have to make Dominoes of Richter Scale to Seismograph. In other words I’m making it so one side of it will be a Richter measurement and the other will be the same in Seismic measurement, but I cannot find anything showing this (E.G. 6.0 On the Richter scale = Whatever on the Seismograph) someone give me a link or some help?

A) The epicenter is calculated after the all the aftershocks of an earthquake are plotted. It is the statistical center of the earthquake. The focus is the spot of first motion of the rocks.
B) The epicenter is where the energy is first released and the focus of the earthquake is where most of the damage is done
C) The focus of the earthquake is were surface waves are first detected while the epicenter is where the P and S waves are detected.
D) The epicenter is the spot on the Earth’s surface directly above the focus.

I dreamt that my mom, stepfather, fiancee and I were at a crowded beach on a cloudy day. It was strange because we were up at the highest point and there were 3 rows of seats as if it were stadium seating at a movie theater, all empty except for us. They were getting bigger and bigger and closer and closer to touching our feet. People were still in the water and then a massive one rised up and as I’m watching, I’m so scared and telling my family that we have to leave and no one wants to. As it reached it’s peak a Big beautiful angel wearing a white robe and HUGE white wings, flies out of the ocean and into the tsumani. I ask everyone if they saw it and no one else did but me. The tsunami crashes on the beach and the water finally reaches us waist high. We get up out of our seats because we are wet and go to the board walk and then I’m at "home". In the room I grew up in my mothers house with my fiancee’. This dream bothered me so much I need to find out what this means. Please help

No intention to cause controversy here, I mean this as a serious question. The featured article the other day was about how Hilary Clinton seems to be "causing" earthquakes during her trips abroad, so I wasn’t sure if this was supposed to be a comical blog akin to a conservative spin on The Daily Show, or more aligned with his Fox News and radio shows. I don’t watch Glenn Beck frequently enough to know if he has a comic relief segment in his show. Some of the articles on the Blog seems much more serious than others.
